Hi Cheryl, when I see the prices you post here can't help smiling, if only it's Canadian prices. And most of the places you mentioned, a few I'm familiar with and my thoughts of how I wish I had the foresight then.
Especially Petaling Jaya old days. Or Damansara Heights, or Ampang.

I was once offered by a contractor 500 acres in Puchong for $20,000, he was short of cash that time....area was just wild bush, old rubber, a God forsaken place then...
And today that place I heard full of homes, not cheap too. Cheeeee!
What? They still have Malay reserve land? Previous posting.
Best regards,
Lee.

Hi Lee, "if" we have the foresight ! And if you had taken up the offer of 500 acres land in Puchong, today I can imagine many building in Puchong may carry such name as, Lee Casa, Lee Residence, Wisma Lee and so forth. And you may also be surrounded by many high achiever realtor canvassing business from you and you may not realize there is one negotiator named "Cheryl Chong" exist.

Your "What?" scare me off. Malaysia is a very interesting place. Under our federal constitution, by embracing Islam and practise the the malay culture, technically (legally) you are a "Malay". On land matter, non-malay CAN NOT buy malay reserve land. If i am not mistaken, malay equal bumiputra, (prince of the soil). Under the NEP policy, bumiputra get about 7% rebate from developer when buying new house irregardless of amount. Me, a non-malay, cannot afford property above 300K unless I go for two generation loan, yet a bumiputra still entitled to 7% rebate buying properties above millions based on the assumption chinese are rich. They forgot there are chinese grow up in estate and understand the meaning of hunger. Sometimes when I am alone, I am puzzle at the true meaning of an act/law and what is the duty of a MP/ politician.

I think I better not talk about issue that may get me in hot water, the seditious act.

Warmest regards
Cheryl
